Tavistock Town FC has been the Clubs name from the 2003 season. Tavistock Jets is still used for our ever growing number of children between the ages of 5 and 7, who have received their first taste of football from the club they know as 'Jets'.

Tavistock Town FC was felt to be more  appropriate, with the age groups Under 9 to Under 16, for which we have fielded teams over the past few years in ever increasing numbers.

We have been awarded the prestigious 'FA Charter Mark' which certifies that our Club operates within the guidelines laid down for youth football clubs  by the FA. All our Managers attend a FA youth football training course over a number of days and have been certified as competent trainers by the FA. All managers and coaches have also been police checked to ensure they have no record of suspect involvement with children.

Tavistock Town are also part of the Tavistock Community Football Club, which brings together all elements of FA football locally to try and obtain better facilities for our sport.

For the season 2005/6 Tavistock Town FC will be a  youth football club playing in Football Association Leagues for children aged 6 to 16.  Tavistock is situated in the county of Devon, within the United Kingdom.

All teams play in the Wrigleys sponsored 'Devon Junior and Minor League'. Matches are played on Saturday afternoons and the season lasts from September to the end of April.

The Club is run by a committee of volunteers which meets once a month to ensure the smooth operation of youth soccer for the benefit of the youngsters and their parents.
